We were Irish Christian’s living abroad and we found ourselves called to pray for Ireland. The Holy Spirit impressed upon our hearts, the town of Tuam, and in obedience to His calling, We moved and settled there, where we continued to pray for the town and the nation of Ireland.
We believe it is the will of the God the Father to rekindle the revival flame that will be housed within a church that is tailored to the apostolic foundation and the facilitation of the five fold ministry. We desire to see Jesus Christ elevated as Lord over Tuam and desire to experience the healing and restoration of Tuam as a town, and restored to its former place as a Godly and spiritual capital in the nation of Ireland…
The genesis and evolution of Tuam came from a Church. It was predestined. It was established through the School of Tuam, an ancient monastery that practiced the meditation and teaching of the Bible.
Jarlath studied under St Enda at Aran Isles and under Benen (Benignus), a disciple of St Patrick.
According to the Féilire of Aengus, he was well-known for his fasting and prayer. Several miles east of Tuam, in Cloonfush, was the site of his own first monastery foundation. Brendan of Clonfert and Colman of Cloyne were two of his disciples. A chariot wheel broke as Jarlath was traveling from Cloonfush in a westerly direction. According to a prophecy attributed to Saint Brendan of Clonfert, Jarlath would meet his demise near to the location where the chariot weel would break.
Jarlath made the decision to establish another monastery in this location. The chariot wheel has come to represent Tuam as a result of this prophecy. The diocese was founded at the synods of Rathbreasail and Kells in the twelfth century. It later expanded into an archdiocese by incorporating Annaghdown and Mayo, two more mediaeval dioceses. Jarlath passed away in 550 AD.
The legacy of a predestined town, the prophetic message of resurrection and a centre of ecclesiastical significance Is dear to the heart of Our Heavenly Father. It is His desire that we as Spirit Life Church, acknowledge and revere the work and price that was paid through the lives and testimonies of our Christian forefathers, and continue the apostolic and prophetic heritage in this present age.
We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord over all and that salvation must be accepted by faith in His Person and finished work of death and resurrection…
Salvation is the belief that if one confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised Him from the dead, they will be saved. Salvation is the eternal justification that removes the guilt and penalty of sin.
Jesus Christ died on the cross as our substitute, atoned for our sins, and allowed us to enter into a perfect relationship with our Heavenly Father. There are no other options on the route to eternal life, only Jesus Christ.
The gospel message is presented as an order, and Jesus deserves to be praised and followed by all people. He flawlessly carried out his Father’s purpose and paid the price for sin on the cross. His resurrection serves as evidence of his victory over death. God the Father has exalted His Son, Jesus Christ and given him a name above all names in recognition of his obedience and work of salvation.
After the commandment from our Heavenly Father to love His Son, we are called to love another:
It is God the Father’s desire that all should be saved, and every tongue confess that His Son, Jesus Christ is Lord. For the Lord works in us both to will and do His good pleasure.
We believe in the Holy Trinity, that God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons that form one spiritual entity…
The Holy Spirit is a person presented to us by our Heavenly Father to guide us in our spiritual journey. Jesus Christ received the Holy Spirit’s baptism at the beginning of his ministry, and we believe in the Holy Trinity, consisting of God the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit must be acknowledged and revered, and a true and authentic son and daughter of God have an intimate relationship with Him.
The Holy Spirit manifested into a dove, so the baptism could be witnessed physically by people:
By living in the Spirit, the fruits of the Spirit will be evident in our lives as Believers:
As Believers, our bodies become the temple for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit:
If the Holy Spirit is not present in our lives, we do not belong to God the Father:
Disciples are to be made within all nations, and they are to be baptised in the fullness and totality of the Trinity:
The Holy Spirit searches the heart and mind of God the Father:
The Holy Spirt is to be respected and revered:
The Holy Spirit presents us with gifts which must be developed as we walk close with Him. These gifts are considered the same that the Messiah would have possessed. Through Jesus, we also receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which include wisdom, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, spiritual understanding, piety and the fear of the Lord. Wisdom begins with reverential fear of the Lord:
This results in the Believer living a holy life. Knowledge allows us to spiritually comprehend the essential truths of the living word of faith, while wisdom is being rooted in humility and dependence upon His instruction. Counsel permits us to act practically and with discernment, while fortitude provides the strength and temerity to obey spiritual counsel:
The Holy Spirit, also known as the spirit of grace or truth, is a person, appointed to us from God the Father, that saves us through faith…
Faith is a state of belief, trust and obedience in God the Father.
Grace is a gift from God’s heart, not merited to sinners. When a person is saved through Jesus Christ, righteousness becomes a spiritual force created by grace and faith.
According to the Merriam Webster online dictionary, righteousness is “acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin.” The Bible uses God’s perfection in every quality, thought, deed and word as as the yardstick for human righteousness.
Christians can achieve true righteousness only after Jesus Christ atoned for sin and the Holy Spirit has been given to them. Jesus paid the price for our sin on the cross by offering His perfect righteousness, enabling us to stand before the Heavenly Father and see the holy righteousness of the Lord Jesus rather than our sin.
According to the living word, we each possess the same power that raised Christ from the grave. This is why we need to live from the position and…
Living from the spiritual mind is crucial for the Christian life, as the unsaved fail to discern spiritual truths. The gospel commands unbelievers to repent of their sin and embrace Christ and the message of eternal salvation by faith.
Two important words in this scripture are “Transform”, which is the translation from the Greek word, “Metamorphosis”, “metemorphōthē” (μετεμορφώθη) “mete” or meta meaning ‘beyond’ and “morphoun” meaning change. This concept of metamorphosis can be seen in science, where caterpillars evolve into butterflies. The second word is “renew” which means to “Resume to an original position after an interruption.” The Holy Spirit assists us in this process.
The Spiritual Mind is the new spiritual being, a spiritual perspective and patterns of thinking and behaviour that conform to the nature and word of our Heavenly Father.
Our mental perspective and attitudes belong to the old nature that has been buried in Christ. This must be replaced with God’s nature and truth, which belong to the new spiritual being. This conviction and revelation in our hearts translates into action.
We are a new spiritual being;
The Word of God, or logos, is the principle or divine reason and creative order. Jesus Christ is the living word, as the son of God the Father, and is a manifestation of the living word of God;
The revelation that expounds upon Jesus Christ, as the embodiment and manifestation of the word of God;
This spiritual reality is further conveyed in relation to the nature and functionality of the word of God;
The Father-Son relationship consolidates the presence and necessity of the Word, and it must be central to our lives. If we do not connect to the Father through his word, we may model him on our own or someone else’s perception, which undermines the power of the triune perspective of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
A Believer must live from their spiritual mind. Two perspectives are presented within this scripture, that of life and peace, and that of death. The more a believer feeds and develops the spiritual nature it will dominate and subdue the dead nature.
We must meditate upon the word of God, continually. To meditate is to ponder and focus upon the scriptures;
Spirit Life Church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone…
The word Apostle, is taken from the Greek translation “Apostolos”, meaning “person sent.”
Spirit Life Church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone.
Jesus Christ was sent by God the Father as the High Priest to redeem mankind. He serves as the model for all apostolic ministry, as He was dispatched in the Father’s stead and spoke the Father’s words. His mission was to found a church, establish leaders, and give them power. After completing his mission, Jesus returned to the Father.
An apostle is a person chosen and sent by Christ who possesses the spiritual authority, moral fibre, aptitude, and skills necessary to reach out to others and bring them into line with the principles and values of the Kingdom. An apostle is concerned with the planting and managing of churches. They establish a foundation and ensure that it is maintained.
He gave us His ministry in five major areas or functions as the head of the Church: teachers, pastors, prophets, evangelists and prophets…
The 5-fold ministry gifts are also called “the ascension gifts of Christ” because they were given as He ascended to heaven after his ministry on earth. His purpose was to leave behind the various aspects of his ministry that his Father had given to Him to begin God’s Kingdom on earth:
These gifts are given to “some” who are called to a specific ministry role in the church. The saints are equipped for the work of the ministry so that:
The five-fold ministry aims to equip the church for their New Testament responsibilities. They are five specific ministries that are tailored for divine and pre-destined gifting and the edification of the Church as a whole body. The criteria and the distinct areas of ministerial office are outlined in the following scripture:
Every Church member can help advance God’s kingdom. The collaboration of people’s unique gifts can lead to greater outcomes.
All individuals should be saved and attain full understanding as per God’s will in, in the following scripture:
Apostle
Spirit Life Church is based on the apostolic ministry and prophetic intercession, with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone. As the original Apostle, Jesus was sent by God the Father to redeem mankind. As the model for all apostolic ministry concerning the building and establishment of the Church, Jesus established disciples, gave them power, and returned to the Father after completing his mission. The word “Apostle” is translated from the Greek word, “Apostolos” meaning “One who is sent.”
Prophet
The term “prophet” in ordinary Hebrew is “nabi”, which comes from a verb that means “to bubble forth” like a fountain; so, the phrase refers to one who proclaims or pours forth the Lord’s decrees. The English word is derived from the Greek “prophetes” (profetes), which means in classical Greek one who interprets another’s will for man, on behalf of God the Father. The prophetic ministry aims to bring believers into the fullness of Christ, fostering inward transformation through the revelation of the living word of God, through the ministry
of the Holy Spirit.
The evangelist preaches Christ (Acts 8:5, 35). The message of the evangelist is simple: it is Jesus. Even the name evangelist is rooted in “evangel” – literally, the “good news”. As people believed, they were baptised and added to the church. The great commission is being fulfilled!
Pastor
The word “pastor” in Latin means “Shepherd.” A pastor is an ordained leader of a Christian congregation. Jesus Christ is a Pastor’s role model. As an “overseer,”
Pastoral care involves the responsibility in the providing of spiritual, emotional and social support to the congregation. On a practical level it also requires the management of administrative duties to support the church ministry.
The word ‘teacher’ (Greek “didaskalos”) carries the sense of being an “instructor”. It defines one with a preaching and teaching ministry focusing on ‘communicating biblical truth through teaching and training to see transformation’. This covers the role of teaching and preaching, both in larger corporate settings and additional classes, courses, and workshops, as well as training that seeks to equip people with practical tools and skills.
Pastors are called to be the primary preachers and teachers among the congregations they lead, and this is the primary foundation by which they fulfill their calling to equip the saints for the work of ministry.
